EPHESIANS 3: 12-16
PRESSING TOWARDS THE MARK
Let us pray
Father I thank you for who you are, you are our Jehovah Jireh- our provider, Jehovah Rapha- our healer, Yahweh Shalom- our peace you mean so many things to us and so powerful in all that you do, it is not by our might alone but your mighty hand that we are blessed and highly favoured, may we never depart from knowing you and doing your works in the kingdom and despite what comes our ways I know once we have you in our lives we are overcomers, conquerors and at peace within.Thank you for your grace for it is sufficient for us all and your mercy renewed every morning. Halleluyah
Ephesians 3: 12-16:
“In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.”
What a privilege and honour to be able to go to God directly any time, with boldness and confidence. We don’t have to wait on our pastors to go to God but to go directly to Him to have that special one to one intimate relationship with Him. By faith, we can pray to Him, to unlock the spiritual doors in the spiritual realm to contact Him in spirit. Believing that so long as it is in His will for us we shall receive. But let me make one thing clear it is not a relationship where our prayers are one way and focused on just asking to receive each time we need something.
Because just like how we have two way with our friends is how it should be with God on a higher more personal level to get to know Him, seek Him more and not His hand for what you can freely receive and then go until you come to Him again needing something else.
He welcomes us with arms wide open and a listening ear to hear all we have to say to Him. Never hold back or be anxious to speak to Him for He is always there for us, talk to Him about anything and everything and He will do the rest. 24/7 He is there to hear us and longs to speak to us, do not shut Him out or push Him away when things get tough, that’s when you need Him most for comfort, strength, clarity, peace, healing and boldness.
I just love Paul’s boldness and zeal for Christ, he endured the pain and persecution that came from spreading the word of God so long as it was bringing believers to Christ. These selfless ways shows me that the fact that you are following the truth, following Christ and doing His good works, doesn’t mean the walk will be easy, no no. He says to take up our cross and follow Him despite what we face along the way. Endure the pain, so that the word of God can shine through to save souls and help build the kingdom, it will be worth it.
When you take up your cross and endure, you are following in spirit and in truth, you are putting aside own opinions and desires and believing His way for us is key, and the only way to live a fulfilled life, believing in Him yesterday, today and forever more. We need to build the kingdom, encourage other believers, help them, save souls, live the word and apply it daily to how we are with others, stay connected to God and His word and follow with obedience.
ENCOURAGE YOURSELF DAILY, THAT WHATEVER IT IS THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE IS WHAT YOU DO NOT NEED.
EMPOWER YOURSELF TO KNOW THAT YOU HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO TAKE OUT WHAT IS CONTRARY TO THE WORD OF GOD AND DOESN’T SIT WELL IN YOUR SPIRIT.
THE MINDSET– It all starts in the mind, the mind is a powerful tool for the fact that how you think affects how you act. If you are someone who thinks negatively there are things you will always doubt yourself on and will not use your full potential to do those things, it will affect those close to you, dampens your spirit, delays your blessings and damages your soul it blocks God out and you will feel lost, alone and hopeless.
But when you think positively there is nothing anyone can say to you to throw you of track, you will know who you are in Christ, be bold, and give your all in all that you do regardless of what is thrown your way. You have that I can’t give up mind-set, I will achieve, and I am great and know my identity in Christ mind-set in all that you do.
You pray, you fast, you believe, you encourage others as well as yourself, you thank God for tests, keep your faith and work with that. Renewing of the mind is a daily process we all pass through because the word of God will renew our spirits, minds and thoughts. There will be tough days but persevere you will make it
FORGET ABOUT WHAT YOU CANNOT CHANGE AND CONTROL – FOCUS ON THE NOW AND GOD WILL DO THE REST.
We need to check our mind-sets daily, is it following God and what is it being fed? What do you listen to? What do you watch? Your mind and actions need to match up to God and His word and in turn apply it to your actions and how you speak, it’s like it all comes as a package you can’t have a positive mind without positive actions and the words to flow with it all.
Cast out fears, worries, concerns, doubts and whatever is robbing you of peace and happiness to flow. Because only you can control your mind, that is to say that it is your responsibility to cast out thoughts of negativity and fear and whatever God hasn’t named you as reject it. You are not who people say you are, but you are who God says you are.
SOME OTHER POINTERS TO REFELCT ON WITH THE MIND:
- MEDITATE ON GOOD THINGS
- BE CONSCIOUS OF WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MORE ON A DAILY BASIS
- BE CAREFUL OF WHAT TAKES YOUR ATTENTION
- SPEND MORE TIME IN PRAISE AND WORSHIP/ SPEAKING TO HIM
- HAVE THAT FORWARDS FOREVER, BACKWARDS NEVER MINDSET
- PRAY FOR HIM TO RENEW YOUR MIND AND SPIRIT DAILY
- FORGET THE FORMER THINGS- THERE IS A REASON THEY ARE NO LONGER IN YOUR LIFE
- PRAY FOR HIS DIRECTION AND HEALING FOR YOU TO PROGRESS IN ALL AREAS
- HOLD ONTO THIS SCRIPTURE PHIL 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever thingsare honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, THINK on these things.”
- SO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND RENEW YOUR MIND AND FOCUS DAILY, PRAY FOR DIRECTION, EAT GOOD, SLEEP WELL, DRINK LOTS OF WATER, PRAY FOR THE WISDOM TO UNDERSTAND AND APPLY THE WORD OF GOD- HAVE A HEALTHY PURE MINDSET AND SELF.
CIRCUMSTANCES & PEOPLE– Do you notice that when you are going through your fair share of ups and downs that the people you thought were your friends are nowhere to be found? Or when you need a favour they are not around? When you need advice they are too busy? The list is endless and I’m sure we can all relate to being in those situations at some point in time. You need to be careful and study those around you:
Do they support you?
Do they pray for you?
Do they encourage you?
Are they spirit led or flesh led?
Are they competitive towards you?
When you need them are they there?
Can they tell when you are not okay?
You need people of substance around you, people who are there for you in the good and not so good times, people who are genuine and honest in their words and actions. And moreover people who when you are not around can trust that they will speak well of you.
Now if the people around you are not that way pray over it and let God guide you in how to handle them, because at times circumstances can be made worse when we feel alone and unsure of those around us, so we need to get to a level where we pray first in everything for God to reveal to us how to go about doing things so that we are not handling things emotions led as opposed to being spirit led.
People will talk regardless whether you do well or not, try not to let that get to you because you need to rise above what temporary people say and focus on what God says that is permanent and above what anyone says to you. Once you are in tune with what God says, nothing anyone says to you will shake you because you are deep rooted in the word, know who you are and honour God in spirit and in truth.
Remember 1 Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
HOPE THIS ENCOURAGED YOU TO KEEP ON PRESSING TOWARDS THE MARK OF EXCELLENCE IN ALL YOU DO.
