Dear Father

Our lives are in your hands, you predestined our path way before we were conceived and your thoughts for us are not thoughts of evil but thoughts of good. I pray that even when we do not understand why things are happening, or why people are leaving our lives to just focus on you and trust in you to bring us through it all. I pray for us all to stand firm in your word to be encouraged and progress without the distractions that will cause us to lose focus from you. In your name I pray halleluyah

Change is real and constant, to receive salvation it is important we change our minds, repent daily and agree that God’s way is better than our way. Spiritual maturity comes when we let the Holy Spirit take control as opposed to self-control. Romans 12:2 ‘And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed changed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.’

When we commit ourselves to God and surrender all to Him, we will no longer be the same people we once were, there is a change that consumes us to the extent where what we did in the world no longer befits the level He is taking us to and so we gradually let go of it all and stop.

All that makes us will begin to change and we will no longer be comfortable with things we once did. But learning to trust in God all the way is very important, God is great, just and faithful to help us along the way, we shouldn’t feel alone when we feel discomfort but really to trust in the process of change from who we once were to who we are now. To follow God we cannot follow Him how we were in the world. Deuteronomy 32:4 For I will proclaim the name of the LORD; ascribe greatness to our God! “The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.

God has made many promises and will always stick to what He says His word will never return back void.  Numbers 23:19 God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfil it?

He is our rock and our salvation, always there to protect us, keep us, support and comfort us. Psalms 18:2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

He does not change He is the same yesterday today and forever more, He does not lie and in all things has our best interest at heart. What I love about our Father is how patient and caring He is towards us, He knows that we may take long to be positioned to follow Him wholeheartedly, leaving the former ways and things that we once knew. To then cleave on to Him and all His promises. 2 Peter 3:9The Lord is not slow to fulfil his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

What we have to remember is that God will never give us more than we can handle, He is always there with us at all times and has not gone on leave. Before we can even think of changing anything in the world, to make an impact and help build the kingdom, we need to allow changes in ourselves first, self-development is a daily thing and not a one off act. But needs continuous work. This is where self-checks come into practice daily to align yourself with what God is saying to you and what you ought to do in the kingdom.
Changing for the better once He has called you, will help strengthen your walk in Christ. It doesn’t make you a bad person, it shows growth in wanting more for yourself, stepping out of your comfort zones and learning more about what you need to work on within. Sadly many are afraid of change and choose to run away from it. Forgetting that change births new growth, a better mind-set, better understanding of the word, a better you, wisdom and elevation. It is important to make it a habit to change the internal as well as the external, this creates peace and good living rather than a cluttered spirit, no peace and confusion.

The power of positive thinking and a positive attitude is important to be great and successful in all you do, because a positive mind-set applied to everything brings a happier lifestyle.

When you work on changing your being your name too will change, you will no longer answer to the names they called you in the world but only the name He calls you and only accept how He sees you. Genesis 17:5 No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.

Genesis 32:28 Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.”

This is to encourage us all, that your current circumstance is not your final bus stop and there are better days ahead but you cannot stay in the same position in a comfort zone yielding no progress.

Sadly with some they do not have anyone around them to overcome their tough times that is why whether through the transitioning stage or not is very important to be nice and friendly to others, because you do not know what they are passing through. To serve in the kingdom is to be accepting of everyone and how they are to speak life into them, help build them up and learn from one another.

Our environment at times can also play a big part in our movement, as well as being a positive influence can also be a negative one, if all you are surrounded by are negative people, be it friends as well as family that alone can dampen your spirit and how you view things as well as yourself. It then becomes easy to lose hope for not only yourself but your circumstances and future because it can rub off them to you and their bad company. All that they are battling with and more can corrupt your good manner 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived evil company corrupts good habits.

JOBS – There are some jobs that you will need to leave to move out of the comfort zone of going to work each day simply for money and material things. There are some jobs out there that play as part of a distraction rather than a purpose, whereas there are some jobs that serve as a lesson, a purpose and to equip you to step out to do what God has called you to do. Then for some there are jobs that God has called them into to serve in their calling. All jobs come with a different meaning to the person but it is important to realise that, that same job in some instances is what God will call you out of to go into your calling full time to walk in purpose with no distractions. You won’t be an employee for all your life eventually He will prepare you to step out of that job to serve Him full time.

FRIENDS – with friends, as we all know the ones we grew up with are not all in our lives right now, we outgrow those friends and we need to remember that there are people in our lives to serve one of the three purposes FOR A SEASON, A LIFETIME or a REASON. Not everyone can go to where God is taking us to so it is important that once you position yourself to align with God and walk in your purpose, to pray for those around you. That God will reveal to you who is and isn’t for you, so that you do not spend your time and effort for those in your life for a short while, while abandoning those who are in your life for a lifetime. Have your priorities straight in every part of your life including those you are around.

As well as changes within you, your job, friends etc also may involve for some, changes in their location Genesis 12:1-3 “Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you.  And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonours you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Where God is taking you to it won’t be what you are used to at first, but better and you will need the time to adapt to what He wants for us and where He wants to take us to. But that will involve leaving behind baggage and familiarity because too much of that leaves you in one place with no growth doing the same things with no blessings or renewal of the mind-set. Which can be damaging to the soul.
