They see you now.. But have no clue what you have battled to get this far.

‘They see you now.. But have no clue what you have battled to get this far.’

Dear Father, your word says in Deuteronomy 31:6 ‘be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the one who goes with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So Father as we hold onto this word, and your promises I pray that we shall continue to live with you guiding us and not our own thoughts or what people say. Father in your name I pray and believe that all we have passed through has made us who we are today strong women and strong men who are able to overcome and achieve greater things. This I believe and can testify to.  Halleluyah

So let’s start of by looking at a flower, and how we develop- briefly, with some downfalls to illustrate what I want to share. Firstly we all know that a flower needs sunlight, air, warmth, water and nutrients from the soil to grow. It all begins from a seed which needs warmth to develop into a plant, and that is all a process which doesn’t happen overnight, all for a common purpose to grow this plant and if something is missing the plant can’t grow well enough. For example if a plant is in a dark place it will grow tall and spindly in search of light and then become weak and die. This is what it takes for a plant to develop and if it doesn’t develop well enough along the way it won’t survive.

With that said lets also look at the processes we all passed through to become the adults we are today. We passed through different stages starting of as an egg, to an embryo and a foetus, then come out after 9months or less having been developed to some extent in the womb. Being a baby, being a toddler, a child, and a teenager growing into an adult. Those different stages in our lives shaped us to be who we are today, like a plant starts of as a seed we started off as an egg. One thing in life we can agree on is that everything goes through a process and change is constant.

However, a plant will pass through dry times with no rain, people treading on them and them not being well looked after. Likewise, with a mother who is pregnant if she lets herself go by smoking and drinking and not eating enough, can damage the health of not only her but her unborn baby. These are the downfalls of not protecting and looking after things and people, and in the latter years to follow most times it shows.

For some people they have suffered health issues, for some they were abused, for some they had abortions, for others they were disowned, others tried many attempts to end their life, others felt they were nothing, some were raped, some in near death incidents, some self-harmed, others dropped out of school, many felt they were not capable of anything great, some killed others. The list is just endless for the downfalls many go through BUT that is not to excuse such behaviour, but all being sensitive issues, is important to respect the fact that everyone has come from different backgrounds, grown to do different things. Whilst some didn’t know any better and learnt the hard way.

Today these same people are some of the great people who managed to turn their lives around and have never looked back. What I want you to understand is that just because someone looks good and have what they have, doesn’t mean they have always had it great in life. It is important to remember that we cannot stay defeated to the wrongs and misfortunes that happen to us, we have to strive to make a better life for ourselves to pass down to the generations to come.

Some will look down on people who are happy with themselves and what they have and then talk badly about those people. One thing that I do not like is that no matter how happy or in your face someone can get, doesn’t make it okay to put them down. Because you don’t know what they have passed through to be that way. For some it’s even an act and for others they just feel the need to not have to explain how they really feel, thinking that no one cares so why should they open up?

You have to remember not everything you see face value is what it really is, people are good at hiding things, emotions and fears and so be careful how you treat others because the smallest thing can easily push a sensitive, weak person over the edge.

Many see you now looking good, doing well for yourself, strong in your walk with the Most High and all of a sudden want to bring you down and can’t support and be happy for you when they see you in a different way to how you were before. They see you now but they haven’t seen the struggle you passed through to get to where you are today. We all have our own personal struggles we have passed through, doesn’t mean we have to shout it out on the roof tops to get the attention of others to make them understand how far we have come. No we don’t need to do that, and the right people who are genuinely happy for you will be there for you and wouldn’t put you down for being happy and overcoming.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 ‘All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.’

This scripture is very important to us for various reasons one being the importance of how we conduct ourselves, how we view life, learning from our ancestors mistakes, and using the teachings to help us all along the way.

No one is perfect, people make mistakes and no one has a right to judge anyone based on the decisions they have made, especially when you haven’t walked in their shoes to know why they made those decisions. Rather we need to support and encourage each other to push forward and not let the divide come between us all. Especially to the women, to those who feel it is okay to break others down, belittle others and make themselves feel good based on other people’s misfortunes, I pray The Most High will work on your inner being to help you be better women, role models and better friends and sisters, not just for your fellow women but most importantly for you too.

We are all children of the Most High where peace, compassion, love, understanding, wisdom, trust, patience and restoration of hope should be common among us all. Not hatred, jealousy and envy. As women of TMH before anything you should remember that we are all different and should celebrate each other’s differences.

Psalm 139:14 ‘I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are your works, and that my soul knows very well.’

How lovely would it be if ALL not SOME women united and came together to support each other with nothing but genuine feelings and support. Don’t get me wrong some of us are doing this but I strongly believe many more can do this and will feel good about it, because it is not just about doing good but aligning our actions with the bible that is our blue print to living a good fulfilled life.

So please the next time you think you have any right to look down at someone or point fingers, judge and act rudely toward someone just remember that like you they too have passed through their own struggles and may still be passing through it, you may have overcome yours but it doesn’t mean everyone else has. A simple smile, lovely comment and a hug can all be gestures that go a long way. Just keep that in mind.

Bless you all
